My baby girl is so grown up- I can't believe it. Yesterday my friend Shantel came over and as Adaliah peeked into the little car seat to see the sweet new 3 week old Lydia I couldn't help but feel a little sad. I swear Adaliah was that tiny little infant just a few months ago. Now she's the giant toddler peeking in.
That being said- I LOVE the stage she is in. (Don't I say that every time- every stage is a fun stage)
Here are some Adaliah moments:
1. Adaliah is SO READY to potty train. She went about 2 weeks going on the toilet all day long and filling up potty chart after potty chart. Then one day she decided she was done. Now she hardly wants anything to do with the toilet. Sigh... She'll tell me "be right back- I'm going to go Poo Poo's" and then go hide behind the couch. So frustrating. The other day her cousin Lily was over
Adaliah: "I need to go Poo Poo's, Lily do you want to go poo poo's with me?"
I about died- now she's inviting friends to join her like it's some kinda party?
2. On Sunday we were making the long drive home from Manti and Adaliah fell asleep. The second her eyes opened she told us "I'm going to get baptized and where a pretty white dress" Must have been a dream? I don't know- but she is a sweetie.
3. Adaliah gives my tummy loves all day long. She asks me to "open it" when she wants me to lift up my shirt and then she hugs my tummy "mmmmm...Izabef...." (Yes! We have chosen a name- Elizabeth) If you ask her when Elizabeth is coming she'll say- "on her birthday!" Sometimes she'll tell me things like "when Izabef comes she'll cry in the car" or "when Izabef comes I share my toys with her". I really thinks she has a pretty good idea what's coming.
4. She's terrified of spiders. Sometimes she'll tell me she doesn't want to play outside cause the "Itsy Piders" will get her.
5. She talks and sings to herself all day long- she narrates the day with song. Funniest part is anytime I talk to myself she'll call me out on it "You talking wif yourself mom?"
6. She still calls her friends "her kids". She spends all day looking out the window waiting for "her kids" to come out of their houses, and when they do she runs around frantically "my kids! my kids! I wanna play with them!" The other day she saw a 6 or 7 year old girl I didn't know down the street and insisted she go play with her. I told Adaliah I didn't know who she was. Adaliah's response "I do! Her name is Neighbor!"
7. Last week Adaliah got a blue marker and colored all over her bedroom floor. Naughty, Naughty girl. This is the first time she's done something like this. Pete was the one that found it- so he was the one that disciplined. Later that night we went to the park and Pete was laughing and pushing Adaliah on the swing A: "you not mad dad?" P: "No, why would I be mad?" A: I colored on the floor. It was so sweet- her little way of asking if she had been forgiven. Usually after we get done disciplining we'll tell her we love her and through her tears and quick breaths she'll squeak out "I love you too". It melts our hearts.
8. Last of all- just something funny to remember about Adaliah...she is a pretty tuff little girl. When she takes a spill she'll hop up and say "I okay". Thanks to Pete and never showing very much sympothy for her falls. Back in April we were at the park and I didn't catch her fast enough off the slide. She face planted it hard into the ground. She hopped right up- spit a few times to get the bark out of her mouth and then kept playing.

She is so cute and is definitely going to make a great older sister!
She is SO sweet! I'm so excited that her and Lily will get to spend more time together. Lily is WAY excited about baby Lizabef to come too. All of her dolls are Baby Lizabef. When I asked her who she wanted to invite to her birthday party she said she wanted Baby Lizabef to come. haha. You're going to have two beautiful and sweet girls! I'm so excited I get to be around to see them. :)
