Messes

You know what I'm going to miss someday? Little girl messes.
No, it's not fun cleaning the house 5 times a day...but if I do have to clean the house, there is not a better mess to clean up then the messes of two little girls having a wonderful time getting lost in imagination land together.

Isn't life sweet?

6 Year Anniversary Trip

Pete and I did a quick 3 night Cruise to Ensenada Mexico for our anniversary. My mom was so great to watch the girls for the four days.

The day we were supposed to get on the ship was crazy. There was a shooting at the LAX airport, where we were supposed to fly in- so our flight got delayed 5+ hours. We thought we missed the cruise 2 or 3 times, but luckily they kept waiting for us last few stragglers.

The cruise was so RELAXING- just what this big 22 week pregnant mama of two toddlers needed.

Every night after dinner Pete and I would plan to go to the shows...but almost every night ended up heading to bed by 9 pm. (Pathetic I know... but just what we needed)

We spent a lot of time in the hot tub (this Cruise ship had 5-6 hot tubs, so we almost always had our own...so nice.)

We spent a lot of time eating and enjoying the sunshine...

We spent a lot of time playing games together....

It was Sunday the day we got to Ensenada so we rented a 4 wheeler and cruised through town to a church and caught Sunday School. Pete was sweet to translate for me.
Then we drove to the beach and cruised down the sand... it was beautiful.

Then we headed down town and got some souvenirs for the girls and ate at a local spot.

We've been home from our cruise for about 3 weeks now, and I have seriously felt like a NEW PERSON. I've had more energy, more motivation, and more patience. I've said it before, and I'll say it again... my love language is quality time and when I get to have Pete all to myself for a few days it recharges my battery. I LOVE this guy.

Halloween

In the last  6 months or so, Adaliah has loved to pretend to be the male heros. Peter Pan, Robin Hood, Hercules, Tarzan...

Adaliah decided months before Halloween that she wanted to be Peter Pan and the rest of the family needed to join her in the theme. She talked about it non stop- so we made it happen with the help of my amazing mother. My mom made Adaliah's costume, my hat, and borrowed the Caption hook costume from a friend for us.

For a few days leading up to Halloween, Adaliah would ask Pete if he could get his and her costume on, and they would play chase all around the house- fighting each other. I love Adaliahs imagination, and I love that I have a husband that will get lost in imaginary land with her.

We went to the ward party, and the kids lined up to shake "Captain Hooks" hand (or hook...rather).

Zizzy already loves to play dress up with her sister, so she had no problem wearing her wings and tutu for hours at a time.

Halloween was a jam packed day. Adaliah got to wear her costume to preschool for a Halloween party, then we went to Pete's work to trick- or- treat, then we headed to Pete's parents house for dinner and trick- or-treating with the cousins. Adaliah took a quick snooze on the drive...this picture is probably one of my favorite of 2013.

As soon as the day was over Adaliah started planning what we're all going to be next year....  I love it.  You gotta treasure that time when your kids want you to dress up with them...before they discover how embarrassing parents are. ;)

October Highlights

October Highlights:

1) Pete's little sister Cecily and her fiancé Spencer got married in the Bountiful Temple. We're so excited to have the new addition to our family.

They had a beautiful outdoor reception the night before....

...and a luncheon after the sealing. It was perfect. We're so excited for Cec, plus its always nice to have an excuse to get the whole family together, especially now that half the family has moved away to California and we don't get to see them much.

It was especially fun to see Zizzy and her cousin Eleanor play. Boy do we wish Mark and Dana lived closer. These two twiners were adorable together.

The day after her wedding was General Conference. We got to stay in and watch the first session at home...

....but the next session we spent up at Snowbird at a condo for Pop's 60th birthday with all the family.

2) We spent the rest of October at Cornbellys at Thanksgiving Point. Pete got our family a season pass, and we sure made it worth it. We went 2 or 3 times a week for the entire month. We LOVED having a fun place to get out and have a blast.

Seriously I cannot say enough good stuff about Cornbellys. We always had something new to check every time we went. Of course we spent a good chunk of time in "Princess Land" every time but Adaliah loved the slides, pig races, train rides, corn mazes, play grounds, bounce houses.... That place is never ending. Pete and I even made it there a few times without the kids for date nights. We played with the air pressure guns, rode the bull, played tether ball, sat by the fire.... I was so sad to see October be over. We LOVED IT.

 3) On days that it was too cold to be out- these 3 little girls played all day long. We sure love having little Lily live right down stairs.

4) Our great friends the Taits invited us to go see Odysseys Thriller dance show. It was Pete and I's first time and of course we loved it. It might just need to be another October tradition for us.

 5) The girls and I made another quick trip to Manti to visit my mom and some friends from High School. My Friend Tausha has a daughter just a few months older then Adaliah named Andrea, and my friend Candalyn has a daughter a few months older named Devrie. It was SO fun watching Adaliah play with life long friends children. I remember playing with Tausha and Candalyn when I was almost as young as Adaliah... crazy how quickly your life goes by.
