Elizabeth is 1!

July 30th
Stats:
Length: 29 inches (50th%)
Weight: 19.9 pds (30th%)

Elizabeth only had 2 teeth at her first birthday. Her second two came the next month, but still at 14 months she only has 4 teeth.

Elizabeth's first word was "Adaliah". She ADORES her big sister. She walks around the house all day with her shoulders shrugged and her hands out looking for her. "Adaliah?" "Adaliah?" Her other words are Dada, Mama, Doggie, Ball, Dank-Do (thank you), bye-bye, night-night, no, and Uh-Oh. She's great at using her sign language- she signs more, please, help, thank you, horse, cat, dog, bird, water, fish, baby, book, milk, eat, bath, shoes, and getting better at Jesus.

She is CRAZY. She tries to keep up with Adaliah. Climbing, jumping, running... and she eats it HARD all the time and DOES. NOT. CARE. She hardly ever cries with injury's which sometimes stresses me out because it's like she never learns! This girl is going to end up in a body cast.

Elizabeth loves her shoes and loves going outside. If I say the words "outside" or "going bye bye" she books it into her room as fast as she can and comes out with her shoes for me to put on. Sometimes even when we're not going anywhere she'll bring them to me and sit on the floor and wait for me to put them on.

Whenever we sit down to eat or gather together at night she folds her arms ready for prayer and pretends she is saying it. She's pretty convinced she knows how to talk. "Da do ba de de da duba da de ta ta de" All day long she is walking around talking in her gibberish like she we should all know what she's saying.

She is obsessed with cats. Anytime she can find a cat (or anything that looks remotely like a cat) in a book or movie she sits and signs cat OVER AND OVER again while saying "meow, meow, meow, meow".

Her birthday was a great day. We kinda kept it simple with just a few family members over. She loved the cupcake, loved the attention, and LOVED the baby doll she got. I couldn't believe how quick she was to snuggle it, kiss it, feed it, and love it. 1 year- it's amazing what girls are born with. The desire to nurture.

This little girl has Pete and I wrapped around her finger. Those big brown eyes are more than we can take- LOVE THIS BABY GIRL!

It's true.....Baby Girl #3

From the start....

June 28th - I was still nursing and keeping it shape for more triathlons when things started getting crazy. I was blacking out every time I stood up, gripping onto anything for dear life so I wouldn't pass out... I knew something was off. Pete went out of town to do a run or dye race for the weekend, so I decided that while he was gone I would take a pregnancy test to get that possibility out of the way.

I sincerely thought it would be negative (mostly because I didn't know it was possible yet). I took the test in the middle of a crazy moment of trying to get kids in bed. Yes I had a 11 month old....  that I was nursing.... but believe me the excitement was not any less then the first time. I cried- tears of joy.  I guess Pete and I have just decided that this is the crazy time in our life where we change diapers and chase toddlers around so we might as well get them all here as quick as the Lord wants to send them. If it's going to be crazy- let it be crazy!

The next morning I ran a 5k while pushing my two girls in a jogging stroller (not the best idea for light headed, nursing, pregnant Bekah) but I was glad I did one last race before it was time to take it easy again.  I told Pete that night when he got home with a 3 musketeers and my pregnancy test.

I had NO IDEA how far along I was because my last period was October 2011 before Ziz.  (TMI- sorry...just kinda funny so I had to share) I had to get some blood work done to find out, and then my first doctors apt. was actually on Elizabeths' 1st birthday.

I've been sick...throwing up, migraines, and so insanely tired, but to be honest- at the end of the day it's going by REALLY fast. I'm already almost half way done!

At 15 weeks my friend Ashley that works in the Women's Center at the Orem Hospital invited us to come down and look at the baby. I didn't know if we would be able to see anything- but this little baby gave us a nice clear shot....girl #3.  Obviously we are nothing but thrilled... thinking about 3 little girls in matching Easter dresses, and hours and hours of dress ups, princesses, and playing house with these 3 little girls that are ALL SO CLOSE gets me excited.

Seeing the baby in the ultrasound sucking her thumb, and squirming around was so amazing. A third little human being that I get to love, snuggle, teach, and help grow into an adult. It's crazy!!

Pete has been nothing but excited . He says he loves the special relationship he has with his daughters.

So there it is....March 1st. 3 kids. C.R.A.Z.Y....but SO EXCITING.

Date Nights

Pete and I did the best thing we have ever done for our marriage this summer. We found a baby sitter that was COMMITTED to coming every single Wednesday night. We didn't have to call or remind- we just knew she was going to show up which forced us to get out and DATE! Seriously- it was the best summer ever for us. Sometimes it was temple dates, sometimes just dinner, playing basketball, shopping at the outlets, ...

.....a date to thanksgiving point gardens with a golf cart. (Somehow it turned into Pete looking for free golf balls that were hit over form the golf coarse. I love my cheep-wad husband)

.....a date to the rodeo....

...one night I told him I was so tired all I wanted to do was lay down....so we went on a date mattress shopping..

....and this fall Pete got BYU season tickets...

Man it is so nice to date again. As much as we LOVE taking our kids on family outings it is so IMPORTANT to get some one on one time to talk, laugh, and have a great time together.

Adaliah said what?!?!

Wow- 3 1/2 is a fun age. I cannot believe the things that come out of Adaliah's mouth! Also- cute Adaliah still has a hard time with almost half of her letter sounds- which makes everything that much more adorable. Here are some things I don't want to forget.

1. Her c's- are T's.  Her R's- are W's. Her G's- are D's. Her Th's- are D's, her Q's are T's....
The saddest part is- she knows she is saying it wrong and sometimes it gets her down a little. "Mom- I cant talk good." It breaks my heart. Too young for speech therapy? I don't know.

2. One day at a clothes store she showed a random worker her pretend map she had. "Oh wow, where does your map lead?" the girl asked. "It leads to Helw" (here). "where?!" the girl asked wide eyed. "Helw!" You should have seen the look the girl gave me.  No- I don't have a Satan child that carries around a map to hell, she just can't get those R's.

3. I took her shopping to get some clothes for pre-school. BAD IDEA. Adaliah turned into a total diva in the dressing room. After trying on her first dress she sat and posed in the mirror over and over making smiles and surprised faces and then turned to me and said "maybe this would look cute with a necklace or something?" Say what?! The next dress she tried on she immediately started taking it off, "This dress is just BLAH mom.". Not a big fan of the teenage behavior.

4. Adaliah wants to be playing with friends ALL DAY- EVERY DAY. She is such a social butterfly. Between neighbors, friends, and her cousin living downstairs she usually gets in a few hours a day. Yesterday I asked her if she would play with me, her response... "If you let me play with Lily for a long time- then I promise I'll play with you after." I thought at age 3 moms are supposed to be the number one choice still! Geez...

5. At nursery Adaliah colored a picture of our family. When she gave it to me on the drive home she sang the jingle from Daniel Tiger "Making something, is one way to say, I love you". Yes, I got a little emotional. She is a sweetie when she wants to be. Those Daniel Tiger jingles are always coming out of her mouth at the most adorable times. Another day Pete got cut off in the car and yelled "What in the world! Idiot!" Adaliah chimed in, "Hey dad, if you feel so mad that you want to ROAR, take a deep breath, and count to 4."

6. She still HATES when I do her hair...or even comb it...or wash it. It's a 30 min fight every time- which is why she usually has un-combed hair most days. She asks me all the time if she can get a "short cut". (hair cut) She knows that when it's short it's less work.

7. She has turned the corner from princesses...and is now obsessed with every male Disney character in the book. She's Tarzan for 70% of the day.... she strips down to her panties and runs around the house swinging from vines and patting her chest yelling "ahhahhaha". You think I'm kidding?! This little girl NEVER has clothes on. When I do make her get her clothes back on she is Peter Pan, Robin Hood, or Hercules.  Robin Hood is my personal favorite because she likes to shoot me with her "Shootin- Arrows", and makes the most adorable face when she does it. She wrinkles up her nose and grits her teeth... and shoots a million pretend arrows a min. It makes me laugh every time.  And when she's in character (which is most the day) You have to make sure you call her by her pretend name and refer to her has,  "him, or he". If you don't, she gives you the look... "mom....you forgot....I'm not Dali...I'm Tarzan!"

8. She has an amazing imagination. One day she was Peter Pan and her imaginary Wendy came to Costco with us. She buckled Wendy when we got in the car, she was upset when I closed the van door at Costco because Wendy had not gotten out yet. She shared her Costco Pizza with Wendy and then she was mad when I put things in the cart because "that was where Wendy was sitting".....it lasted for hours.

9. She LOVES PRESCHOOL. She has such a good little memory- we're in week 3 and she can already recite little boy blue, the pledge of legence, and a song about the letter A. What a little smarty pants. We sure love this girl!
10. Adaliah loves to go into her room and surprise me by cleaning it all by herself and getting dressed all by herself. LOVE THIS about her, but it's adorable to see her all dressed up. Shoes on the wrong feet, dress on backwards, jacket on inside out. LOVE THIS GIRL.
