Cute as a Bug!- Happy Halloween!

What was Adaliah for Halloween? Thanks to her Grandmother she was an Adalia. Click it to see for yourself.

We had such a fun day at the Ackermans playing with almost all the cousins.

Pete bouncing the girls...

Pete's work had a Halloween party for the employees and their familys . Look at this girl- she knows exactly what to do with the candy... too bad her mom wouldn't let her try it with the wrapper off.

On Friday night we had two of Pete's brothers bring there girly friends over to carve pumpkins. This is Pete's master piece. I was so impressed. He didn't have a plan- he just started going crazy with the knife.

Another wave from Adaliah- can't get enough of it! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday!

Blessings

Blessing #1- Adaliah is feeling much better. She is almost back to her normal self. I had to post this picture. Look at this little sickie with the bed head. Love it.
Blessing #2- Remember Dali's poopy laundry I was complaining about? Well on Sunday we went to my in-laws and we came back to find this.....

What? Who folded Adaliah's laundry? - Might you ask...
My sister Karen. She came over to drop something off and saw my dryer door open. Without even knowing my poopy laundry pains, she decided she would leave it folded nicely in a pile on top of the dryer. Isn't that the nicest thing you've ever heard?

Blessing #3 I got the stomach flu last week (not so fun). I was running on literally 30 mins of sleep. So Karen came over and saved the day again! She let me take a nap- brought me juice-crackers- medicine. Amazing. Look how adorable this pic is. Dali fell asleep during play time with Karen. Love it.
Blessing #4- I have a head cold right now which means I don't have to smell Adaliah's diapers for a few days!

Too Cute

So when Pete and I were down visiting our friends Brandon and Lindsay in St. Geroge about 3 months ago- Lindsay pulled out her camera and asked if she could take some pics of Adaliah.

She sent this to me today. Too Cute. Those legs are to die for. I love them! I'm so glad she captured all the little things I'm going to miss when Adaliah gets big. Thanks Lindsay!

3 years

Oct 19th made three years for us. Three amazing years.

Pete got me these beautiful flowers. These colors are the reason I got married in the fall. So amazing.

We had a low key year celebrating, we went to dinner and the temple. We were fine with that. It seems like we have been celebrating every day since Adaliah was born.
Thanks again Mary and Aaron for watching our girl so we could celebrate.

8 months

Add our Pre-Blog to your blog list! This way you can see when we have updated! Come on..it's easy! pbandapreblog.blogspot.com

Adaliah is 8 months!

I'm going to be honest- this has been the hardest month yet..

As you know she has been sick off and on the entire month. I told you about the ear infection, whooping cough, yeast infection (that won't go away), CONSTANT runny noes, 3 new teeth coming in, AND she has had the runs for 2 weeks straight...and when I say the runs I mean 5-6 nasty diapers a day..which adds up to 3 or 4 outfits a day. I'm going crazy. EVERYTIME we leave the house she blows out and I can't keep up with her poopy laundry.

Okay I'm done venting- It could be a million times worse I know- and I'm sure she's suffering way more then I am. Now about Adaliah

1. Because she has been sick- she has not been a great sleeper...at all. I feel like I have a newborn again.

2. She started waving (as you saw in the video bellow) First she wanted to wave at EVERYONE that would look at her. Now if anybody looks at her she hides her face or bursts into tears...weird.

3. On that same note....two words. Stranger Danger. She will only go to Pete or I 95% of the time.

4. She started crawling a little, then a lot, then even more. She crawls all around the house- following me from room to room. (I need to baby proof)

5. She also started walking along furniture. She's a pretty determined little Gal.

6. She loves to sit and snuggle- especially with here Dad. It melts us.

7.She says Dada. I know what you're all thinking...every baby makes that noise. But I know she knows what it means. She says it when Pete gets home from work or when she see's a picture of him. So cute...we'll work on Mama next.

8. Her 4th tooth just broke through this week.

9. She's a tummy sleeper now. Isn't she adorable?

9. Last of all- I tried to post a video of this- but after 10 trys I'm giving up. Adaliah uses her toy piano or a laundry baskets as a walker. She gets around the room like that. It's so funny- she's like a little old lady or something. Love it.

Welcome Blog Readers!

Why did I go Private?

So I printed my blog into a book- I LOVE IT! But while reading it I realized how much personal information I put on my blog.... scary.

Also- I realized how great the scrapbook- journal was and it made me want to blog about even more personal things. My thoughts, my trials, miracles, more of my spiritual side, ext.

Also- Pete and I are only a few weeks away from a HUGE CHANGE in our life...maybe one of the biggest ever. I wanted to blog about it- but again- I did not want to share it with the WHOLE world.

Oh! And one last reason! This summer I was swimming at the pool and these girls kept staring at me. I was a little weirded out.... finally they confronted me and asked me if I was Pete's wife.

Yes I am! Do I know you?

No- we went to SUU. We recognized you from your blog.

Hmmm...weird. Another reason for going private. You just never know who is keeping up with your blog.

So welcome Family and Friends to the private blog of the Ackerman Family.

What has been keeping me busy?

My baby girl crawling around the house, pulling herself on everything, and walking with furniture. When did my girl get so big?

My latest attempt of being crafty.

My baby girl- still not feeling 100%

Meeting up with old friends at lunch time.

"Whoop" there it is...

Where do I begin?
Life has been crazy.
Most importantly: Adaliah got a new cousin on October 1st making 10 grandchildren on the Ackerman side. 8 girls, 2 boys. This sweet Presley makes the 7th consecutive girl. Translation: Adaliah is going to have a blast with all her cousins when she gets a little older.
Oh speaking of cousins- before I forget...the other day I took the kids I nanny to the park and I ran into my cousin and his wife! Very random! Here is Adaliah and her 2nd cousin Joslyn- who is only a few weeks younger then her!

Okay- back to my crazy life....

Adaliah has had an interesting few weeks. Long story short...okay not short...but maybe shortened...

A few weeks ago Adaliah started coughing her lungs out at night time. She sounded horrible. It was only at night, she sounded fine during the day...weird. Well my sweet mother-in-law gave us a humidifier and that seemed to help a little but the cough still continued every night. It killed me to listen to her. Then her top tooth came in and it looked really painful...then she started pulling on her ears...then she started getting this weird rash...

I decided to take her in.

To my surprise we found out Adaliah had:

*An ear infection in both ears

*A yeast infection

*And....whooping cough

Say what? Didn't we vaccinate her for that? Yes- and Yes- she still has it.

Do not fear everyone - she is on an antibiotic and she won't be contagious soon. They also put Pete and I on it.

You would never guess Adaliah was that sick- she has been a very pleasant little girl...which leads me to a million other things I want to blog about soon.

Anyway- point is..I love Adaliah and I love doctors that give me medicine and creams to make my baby feel better.

-The end
