Our One Year Anniversary

Pete and I have been married for an entire year! I can hardly believe it! It went by so fast. We had the most amazing weekend celebrating the one year mark.

It started on Friday night after Pete got home from work. We went to Gateway and ate and Tucanos. It was Delicious!

After dinner we stayed at Anniversary Inn. My parents treated us to a night there for our first anniversary. Thank you Mom and Dad! It was beautiful! They had dessert in the fridge and free movie rentals... we were loving it.

The next morning we slept in and then went to the Salt Lake Temple. After the temple Pete told me he had plans for dinner but he would not tell me where we were going.....

We left around 4:00 and started on the most beautiful drive. The leaves were amazing! Next thing I know we pull up to this!!

Pete had made reservations for another romantic night but this time in Midway. It was so beautiful! The fall colors were breath taking. We had another great dinner at the inn and a great stay. The bed was so big and comfortable Pete couldn't resist jumping on it. Pete was so sweet to surprise me. I don't know how we will ever top this anniversary because it really was perfect! I am so in love!!

Our Weekend

Pete and I had a fun weekend. On Friday night we carved pumpkins with some of Pete's friends. I was so impressed with Pete's pumpkin carving skills! He created that little spider and made it look great!! I never know when Pete is going to bust out some new skill I never knew he had.

Saturday we went to the BYU football game (thanks again Josh and Megan). It was freezing! I can't believe this weather! It was a lot of fun and I was able to see some friends I hadn't seen in a long time.

I don't know how I feel about this cold snowy weather that's coming so fast.... time to pull out the coats, gloves, and hats and get ready for a long cold winter.

Home Sweet Home...for now...

Pete and I have finally landed! After weeks of apartment shopping we found a cute little place in Draper that will hold us over until we find out where life will take us next. This is our 5th move in the short time we have been married!
We took a trip to Cedar City to clear out our storage unit and then drove a giant Uhaul back to our place. I even got to drive the beast a little (not by choice). I have to admit I was scared to death to drive that thing.... but after I was finished I felt pretty sweet....
Pete just started his new job in Lehi and I'm on the job search for something close. We're really excited to start our life again with a new home, new jobs, and a new ward. That's what being young and married is about right? Change, change, and more change. You gatta love it!

Uncle Pete and Aunt Bekah

While Pete and I were in Chicago we got a new niece...Sadie Lee Ackerman. Congrats Amanda! She is such a cute little thing. Now my sister-in-law Cami Armstrong is getting ready to have a baby boy in the next few weeks! We are so excited for her.
After Cami has her baby we will be at 4 nephews and 6 nieces! We love playing the aunt and uncle role.....babysitting, playing with the kids, and the best part...handing the kids over when they start to cry.
