It's spring time!
After a long winter of being home with contractions, spring time brought a whole new level of excitement for me.
Adjusting to three has been challenging but fun. Here are a few of our "firsts" with all three girls..
first trip to the park...
first time to the grocery store ... (I'm still a little confused on how to get any food in the cart)
We did pretty good until trying to load kids and groceries... (I guess we'll go without milk because I'm not unloading the girls again to buy more!)
First bath with all three...

first trip to run non grocery errands.. That one didn't go so well, but at least Adaliah got her panties she needed.
Here is me trying to keep up with TOO MUCH pink laundry..
But in all seriousness, 3 has been amazing. It's so fun to watch Adaliah and Elizabeth love on their baby sister. We feel so blessed to have these sweet girls.
Elizabeth highlights:
You can kinda see in the picture above that Zizzy got a black eye. She tripped and hit her head on the side of her bed. A few days later she tripped and hit her nose on the door. I loved the black eye, and bloody nose combo. Nothing screams clumsy toddler like a shiner and a bleeding nose.

Elizabeth has just been her "Busy Zizzy" self. Clogging toilettes...dumping entire bags of rice onto the floor...you know...the usual.
She still loves to dress up. Here is her in an elephant costume, high hills, and lots of accessories. She calls Norah "Ro-Ra". All day long she says "I'na see, I'na see Ro-Ra" then after I show her, she says "Ohh! Tute!!" Or she'll ask to hold her and while holding her she'll sit and point to everything on Norah, "Ro-ra's eyes?" "Ro-Ra's nose?" "Ro-Ra's fingers?"
Big changes:
For the last 8 months we have been using the same babysitter named Marissa. She was HEVEN SENT! At first she was only coming once a week when Pete and I went on date nights but after my contractions started and I started taking my college class on campus, she started coming 2-3 times a week. The girls LOVED HER! She was so good at playing imagination with the girls, teaching them songs and dances, and she always left the house sparkling. She got called to serve a mission in Japan, and she came and watched the girls until the day before she went to the MTC. We are going to miss her.
Also- another big change- the Ludwigs moved out of our basement! It was such a fun 21 months having them at our house. We will miss them for sure. Luckily they bought a house just a few miles away so we'll still see them a lot.
But with the Ludwigs gone, our house doubled in square footage over night. It has been so fun to move all the toys downstairs and add a few new things for play time.
Adaliah Highlights:
With Lily gone, Adaliah has been begging for play dates every day. In result we have had a few new friends from the neighborhood over.
And of course we still make it to Lily's house once a week. In this picture they were being rock stars, and when I told them to smile Adaliah told me "Rock stars don't smile mom." So there ya go...
Adaliah has been such a great helper with Norah. She helps get diapers, and picks out outfits for Norah. There have been a few nights in particular that I have been so impressed with her maturity. For example, one night Adaliah and Zizzy were running around being very loud and crazy and Norah was screaming bloody murder and wouldn't calm down. I was the verge of going crazy so I angrily told Adaliah and Zizzy to go to their room and be quiet. After 20 mins of not hearing a sound from them, I peeked in to see that Adaliah had tucked Zizzy into her bed and was reading her stories. My heart melted. I know God sent her first because she is born with such a loving nature and makes such a great big sister.
Adaliah's prayer the other night, "....thank you that Zizzy is so funny and bless she'll get even funnier and bless she'll keep getting bigger and bigger cause she's SOOO fun to play with...."
Other outings: Pete and I took Adaliah to see the BYU Ballroom concert, and while we were watching, Spencer and Cecily took Zizzy and Norah on a trip around campus.
We have been able to make it to Thanksgiving Point a few times. Farm Country, tulip festival, the dinosaur museum, and the new discovery museum that just opened this spring. I cannot tell you how nice it is to be back to feeling like myself again. I LOVE getting out of the house with my girls and going on outings.
Pete and my Dad went on an overnight backpacking trip to Virgin Springs at the San Rafael Swell. Pete says there was a lot of male bonding and some sea chanties to boot. Pete truly enjoys his time with my Dad.
Pete said Bob was like a virgin spring of knowledge, ever flowing with refreshing gulps of years of acquired insights into this thing we call life.
I have gotten back into running. When I get back home I stretch and the girls love to come and join me.
I've also been taking a dance class with some old friends for Manti Drill Team. It feels so good to DANCE AGAIN!
Life has been good to us in our little Ackerman home. We are blessed.
