Of course....Swine Flu!

Long story short….this has probably been the craziest month of Pete and I’s marriage. Everything went crazy all at the same time! Family, work, relationships, money…blah blah blah..on and on… right when you thought it was crazy enough- something else would happen! But we learned a lot and made it through.

Funny story-

Pete and I decided we needed to get away…so we booked a cruise. Perfect right? So it’s booked for April 30th (tomorrow!) for Baja Mexico. As we all know…Mexico is the last place anybody would want to be right now. Okay, maybe not the LAST PLACE -but close. Swine Flu…yeah know? This is a perfect example of how the last month of our life has been- of course some crazy flu would take over the country just days before our cruise is scheduled…anything to ruin our romantic trip. Hilarious really.

So after a wild few days of talking to our cruise line we found out that they are changing the destination and we are now going to Catalina Island instead. Pheww.. good thing. No worries.

So next week I’ll have to tell you all about our fun trip! See ya later!

My niece Jane

This is my sisters dog Jane. She’s my favorite dog in the world (sorry Otto and Jinny). Jane is a masterpiece. You’d just have to meet her to understand. She has more personality than any dog I know.

I had the honor or babysitting Jane a few months ago. I’ll tell you right now- I have babysat a family with 11 kids all under the age of 8….and watching Jane was probably more challenging.

But I’ve forgiven her and we are buddies now. When I go over to the house she grabs her toys and brings them over to me and gives me the little puppy dog eyes that say “Please play with me Bekah”. And I can never resist….

Sometimes Jane goes running with Karen and I, and she is always a part of the Ackerman/ Steadman Eater Egg hunt. Both years Jane has been the star of the hunt. She also is an amazing hiker. She’s fearless on the mountain. But I think Jane is best known for her tricks. I have a video of her “OOOPPAA” trick…sorry it’s sideways. You gatta check this out…

Pete is 26! Can you believe it?! I just have to say...Pete is the most amazing husband in the world. End of story. I’m still trying to figure out how I got so lucky! He is everything I need + so much more. I hope you had the best birthday sweetie!! I love you!

We spent his special day down in St. George visiting friends. Thanks again Kasey and Tish for letting us stay at Hotel Springer! Here are some pictures of our fun weekend!
