May has come. May for me has been : hours of yard work
every day, stroller rides to the park, mothers day with family, sister trip to St.George, and training training training for the triathlon which is only one week away.
Adaliah continues to fill our home with love and joy. A few stories I don't want to forget:
Today she had her first 3 word sentence! That's significant right? It went like this...
Dali walks in my room holding a cracker.
Me: Dali- what are you doing?
Dali: Cracker!
Me: You're eating a cracker?
Dali: Yeah (with the big head nod)
Me: Yumm...that looks good.
Dali: Cracker for Mama? (while holding it out for me to take)
What a sweetie... I love that we can communicate more and more with her everyday.

Another Dali story.
I was babysitting my cute kids Jojo and Meg. We went for a bike ride and Jojo and Dali rode in the bike trailer. Jojo and Adaliah kept kissing, tickling, and laughing. It was cracking me up! "Tickle Tickle Tickle" Dali kept saying and I heard lots of kissing noises coming from both of them.
By the end of the ride Adaliah was almost asleep on Jo's shoulder. I felt like I was chaperoning a first date or something.
Later that day while in the car with Pete I told Adaliah to tell Dad about her day. (I love asking this because sometimes she'll say something that I know is coming from a memory)
Dali: Jojo!
Me: Yeah! We played with Jojo. Did we go for a big ride?
Dali: Thought for a moment....then made a big smack with her lips... Mwaa!
Last story
It was nap time and so I brought Dali into her room
Me: Dali do you want to go night night?
Dali: Yeah. (and then leans in for a kiss)
I gave her a kiss and then she leaned for her crib.
I put her right in and she snuggled in with her blankets
Me: Love you Dali!
Dali: Love you! (Which sounds more like "Of Do" and then she blew me a kiss while I walked out the door.
My heart melted...I even got a little teary eyed. She's such a sweet girl.
Things Adaliah is obsessed with right now:
1. Daba-des (Strawberries)
All day long she stands in front of the fridge and asks "Daba-de? Daba daba daba-de?" "Please?"
2. Ba Ba (Her Elmo video that sings the song Ba Ba black sheep.)
It's really the only song in the video she likes. When it gets over and moves to the next song she comes and finds me "ba ba? ba ba? ba ba?" Until I change the movie back to her song. So strange.... I don't understand it.
3. Mommy (she knows how to say the word Baby- but she insists on calling her babies and dolls "mommy". I'm mama, but her babies are mommys...again strange.)
She walks around the house all day carrying around her mommy and taking it for rides in the shopping cart her Grams got her for her birthday. And every time we see a baby while out and about she gets so excited "MOMMY MOMMY!" and has to go say hi to the baby.
Maybe I'm not the only one in the house getting baby hungry. ;)
Last thought of May: I asked Pete last Sunday if he would cook us up some steaks. Pete went back and forth on how he was going to cook them because we don't have a grill....
Pete then spent the next hour building this rock/ fire pit thing in our back yard. (He'll have to remind me what's it's called.) "This is just how they do it in Argentina" he kept saying. I was pretty impressed that he pulled it off. And the steaks turned out amazing!
