Just some thoughts...

Life has been crazy. Good- but crazy. It seems like I've only had time to post travel logs and pictures for scrap booking purposes and haven't really had time to catch up with what's going on in my head.

This summer has been an unforgettable one. It started with some of the hardest months of my life. I found myself really relying on friends, family, and most importantly my Heavenly Father to make it through. I simply could not have done it myself. I was so grateful for my calling in the Young Womens. Youth Conference and Young Womens Camp seemed to come at the perfect time...I was able to escape all of the craziness and be fed by the spirit.

Shorty after camp I got realeased after only 5 months of serving. Lets be honest- I was pretty bummed. I felt like I had just gotten to know all of the girls and understand their individual needs...then I got sent to the primary.

But guess what. Things starting getting better. Much better. I'm grateful for the chance to work in the primary with Pete. It's fun to watch him teach and play with the kids.

And when Wednesday nights opened up I spent it taking a belly dancing class with a friend in my ward. After the 6 week class and performance was over I started taking ballet. I have loved it. I miss dance so much. Every day after I get home from ballet I feel so motivated to stretch and have such a desire to choreograph and preform. I miss it.

Spirtitualy I have found myself on such a rollercoaster. It always seems that way doesn't it? I KNOW that when I'm reading scriptures and praying daily it ALWAYS makes the difference- yet sometimes it's so hard to do it. Why is that?

Pete has been an amazing example- going to the temple every week and reminding me to have couple prayer. I'm just starting to get back into my personal habits- and I can already feel the added strength in my day. I cannot wait for General Conference. I always leave the weekend feeling uplifted and motivated.

Socially I have been in a slump. I just have been so content with playing with Adaliah all day. Now that she can communicate and play games with me- that's all I want to do. This morning Pete let me sleep in- and when it was time for me to get up he brought Adaliah in and set her on the bed. "Come on Mom! Butterfly- Butterfly- Come on! (She wanted to put on her butterfly wings for the 20th time this week.)

I seriously was so excited to get up and spend another day with her. Spend another day watching her learn new words and say new sentences...another day of listing to her belly laugh..and watching her get so excited about the funniest things. She is truly my best friend.

Physical- Pete and I have been working our butts off (literally) to eat more healthy and exercise daily. It's been so good to eat more salads and veggies and less....crap (sorry- couldn't think of a better word for it). I have a testimony of the Word of Wisdom. Early to Bed- early to rise- eating healthy. It makes you feel good...brings you closer to the spirit...

We have been flooded with weddings and announcements of pregnant sisters (3 new cousins coming this spring for Adailiah). It's fun to see the family grow. I'm so lucky to have such a HUGE family on both sides. I feel like I have such a huge support system.

I'm getting anxious to have a big family of my own. Every night when we have family song and prayer I feel like our living room is so empty. I feel like I should be calling in the rest of the gang to join... but it's just the 3 of us....

Anyway. Thats it. I'm excited for the fall to begin. More weddings, fun trips planned, Pete's little sister comes home from her mission, Halloween, Thanksiving... We all have a lot to look forward to.

I'm not ready to let go...

No! Not already! Summer is coming to an end and I'm not ready to embrace it.

It's chilly and dark enough to need a jacket in the evening, Dali and I went to buy a snow cone but realized all of the little street shops are closed, swim suits and flip flops are all on sale....

But this summer was fun while it lasted.

For journaling purposes- here is a recap of our summer.

We did lots of races:

(Karen I both won 1st place in our age division at the Midvale 5k. My parents were sweet to come and watch)

(Pete and I did a 5k with Dave and Lisa in Provo..)
We spent lots of days at the pool:

(Swimming with my friends Tauhsa and Shantel. When we got there we realized Adaliah and Andrea had the exact same suit.)

(Swimming with my adorable neighbors Brittany and Jessica and their cute kids)

And spent fun evenings in the mountains:
Mmmm....Yummy tinfoil dinners....
