Adaliah's dance recital

 Adaliah has been taking a "Mom and Me Dance Class" for the last 9 mths.  She has LOVED it. She gets excited to go every week and I have really seen her improve in class. This spring was her first dance big dance recital. Her class danced to "It's a Small World" and each of the kids costumes were from a different county. Adaliah had a Spanish Dress.

I've been telling her for WEEKS that she is going to dance on the big stage in front of lots of people and she has been nothing but thrilled. The day of the dance concert came and she was more excited than ever. She fell asleep in the car earlier that day and when Pete picked her up she mumbled in her sleep "I'm going to dance on the stage" and then continued to nap. So adorable. When it was time  she had no complaints about me doing her hair and her make up. She felt like such a big girl.

Well the time came- the lights came on- and Adaliah marched out with all the confidence in the world. No tears and no stage fright. She was the cutest little dancer- I wanted to eat her up.

When she got off the stage Pete gave her a bouquet of pink flowers- I wish I would have filmed her reaction. She was so excited. So  many people come to support her, which was so nice because her part lasted 2 mins. But it meant the world to her.

Even Grandmother came just days after her foot surgery.

My sister Karen has been teaching ballet for a few months at a different studio.  A little later that night we got to watch Karen perform as well! She did amazing.

Adaliah's probably done with dance class for awhile- I'll probably wait until she's older to put her in again, but it has been so much fun while it lasted. I was so proud of my little dancing princess.
