Valentines Day

Adaliah had a valentines party at school.  She came come so excited to show me her valentines bag full of cards and goodies. "Mom! It was just like Halloween! I went around and everybody gave me candy!" And yes- most of that candy ended up in our giant bag of left over halloween and christmas candy. Gross. 

But the girls loved valentines this year. They got spoiled by their dad, grams, and grandmother with treats and cute stuffed animals. 

Valentines Day this week fell on a Friday. I had been on "bed rest" for 3 months- so I told Pete that I really wanted to go out to dinner this year.  Pete set up the reservations and also the babysitting. He told me that the only reservation time available was 4:30, so he was going to get off from work early, take me to dinner and then we were going to go do sealings at the temple.

At 4:00 his parents came over to babysit, and Pete came home from work. We got into our church clothes, grabbed our temple bags and left. Pete drove downtown to the restaurant at Little America Hotel. The food was AMAZING.

After dinner- Pete pulled a classic Pete on me. He told me that we weren't going to the temple, we were actually spending the night at the Little America and his parents were spending the night at our house and watching the girls. In his "temple bag" he had packed our swimsuits and our overnight stuff.

It was the best surprise ever. We swam after dinner (which felt so nice for this big 38 week pregnant mama). Then Pete gave me my valentines present- which was an entire gift bag full of my favorite candies and treats. SUGAR OVERLOAD! So we chilled in our room, watched olympics, ate candy, and got a good night sleep. Pete even got a room with 2 queen beds so I could have my own bed to sprawl out in. Haha. He sure knows how to make a big pregnant lady happy.
